3. The Shield

If we were talking strictly about their impact in the wrestling world, an argument can be made for The Shield to claim the number one spot. Each man in The Shield were able to not only become top singles stars in WWE, but across the industry as well (shoutout to Jon Moxley for absolutely killing it in his post-WWE run in NJPW and AEW right now).

Even before the trio were able to use their momentum as a team to catapult themselves into singles main eventers, this group was a staple of the main event picture from the moment they debuted during the main event of Survivor Series 2012.

Instantly, as soon as they made their debut as an onscreen unit, they caught the attention of the WWE Universe and made the most of their time onscreen, particularly in the tag team division during Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins’ run with the Tag Team Championships. They had some gnarly matches with the likes of The Usos and Cody and Dustin Rhodes.

Then, when they reunited years after their breakup, they made their presence known in the tag team division again, this time pairing Rollins with Moxley. Together, they had tremendous matches with teams like Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, as well as The Bar.

No matter which two men you place in the tag team scene, it was inevitable for a fantastic match to manifest.
