3. Sting

Sting’s WWE debut at the 2014 Survivor Series still sends chills down the spine. Who thought they’d ever see WCW’s franchise wrestler in the WWE? No one. Who thought we’d see Sting at WrestleMania 31 taking on Triple H? No one. Then again, professional wrestling is constantly evolving.

Why Sting Entering The Rumble Makes Sense

With Seth Rollins declaring himself as the “Monday Night Messiah,” joining forces with AOP and recently adding Buddy Murphy to his ranks, he’s taking the same steps in declaring his group’s dominance. The only element missing is he hasn’t given his new clique a name.

Here’s the connection: At the 2014 Survivor Series, Sting comes down ringside to disrupt Triple H’s attempts to steal a win for Team Authority. Who were the members of Team Authority? Kane, Mark Henry, former United States Champion Rusev, former Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper and – you guessed it – Seth Rollins.

If Sting enters Rumble and eliminates Seth Rollins, AOP, and Buddy Murphy, that sets up a WrestleMania 36 match, a rematch to Sting’s final match at Night of Champions in 2015.

The Viking Raiders were not the answer. They lost the Raw Tag Team Titles to Murphy and Rollins this week on Monday Night Raw. Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens need more than help. They need a Savior. That’s Sting’s calling card. Consider looking to the rafters or listening for the sounds of crows at this year’s Royal Rumble.
