Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championship Unification Hell in a Cell Match: SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day (c) vs. Raw Tag Team Champions The Usos (c)

The first of three championship unification matches will be pitting the Raw Tag Team Champions against the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. There may be no more fitting choice to unify those belts into the WWE Tag Team Titles once again than another epic collision between arguably the two greatest WWE tag teams of the modern era.

Reigniting one of WWE’s most storied and impressive tag team rivalries, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day would go up against Raw Tag Team Champions The Usos, who would have been drafted back to Raw between now and WrestleMania 37. On top of that, this would take things up another notch with only the fourth Hell in a Cell Match in WrestleMania history and the fourth tag team Hell in a Cell Match.

While I could honestly see either team taking the advantage here, The Usos stood tall last time these two teams met inside Hell in a Cell. As such, I’m predicting The New Day take the win and cement their place as the greatest tag team of the modern era.

Prediction: The New Day are the new WWE Tag Team Champions

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: The Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection

The night’s other tag team match will feature the only brand-floating championship that currently exists in WWE. While I’m genuinely worried about the attention (or lack thereof) that the division will get over the next year, an end to the brand split could be a blessing in disguise for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

If they’re ignored as I fear they may be, it wouldn’t be a stretch to see The Kabuki Warriors hold tight to the gold all the way to WrestleMania 37. Asuka set a seemingly insurmountable record by holding the NXT Women’s Championship for 522 days. If The Kabuki Warriors could hold on until WrestleMania 37, their reign (which began back at Hell in a Cell 2019) would reach 539 days in length.

On top of that, the only team that could end a reign of that magnitude would be the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. A reuniting of The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection, likely both fan favorites by then, would ride into Hollywood to take back the titles they lost at WrestleMania 35.

Prediction: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) vs. John Morrison

The best WrestleManias have epic grudge matches, and there may be no more fitting championship clash for Wrestlemania’s return to Hollywood than The Miz vs. John Morrison. The duo reunited in recent weeks thanks to John Morrison’s return to WWE, but it’s not a pairing that will last forever.

In the beginning, The Miz and John Morrison felt like as unlikely a pairing as any. Despite their “thrown together” qualities, they excelled and have had extensive and impressive careers in their own ways. This potential clash would likely see The Miz, likely to be the self-proclaimed Mr. Hollywood by this point, turning on John Morrison to ensure he doesn’t hog the spotlight at WrestleMania.

It would also see John Morrison becoming a fan favorite for the first time since returning to WWE, taking on a role that we’ve only really see him fulfill in other companies. John Morrison vanquishing The Miz and capturing the Intercontinental Championship, potentially his first singles title since returning to WWE, would truly be a WrestleMania moment built for Hollywood.

Prediction: John Morrison is the new Intercontinental Champion
