As many readers should recall, The Velveteen Dream was injured last fall at the hands of The Undisputed Era. The former NXT North American Champion finally made his long awaited return to NXT TV by attacking the stable – specifically the man who took his title, Roderick Strong- just a couple weeks back.
Speaking of Strong, Dream is set to officially kick off his vengeance this upcoming Wednesday when he goes one-on-one with The Messiah of the Backbreaker. Most expect Dream to win that match, but the bigger question to ask is what does The Dream do from there?
Ideally, one would think that his new mission is to break down and destroy the nearly year long dominance of The Undisputed Era, and how do you get rid of a snake? You start at the head, and who – or rather, what – lies at the head of Undisputed Era? Adam Cole, Bay Bay, and his NXT Championship.
To cut the head off the snake, Dream is going to need to try to beat Cole for his NXT Championship. With the roar of the crowd on his side following what will be a nine month reign for Cole, The Dream has a good shot at doing just that.
