WWE WrestleMania 36 Predictions: Roman Reigns Exterminates The Fiend
By Mark Justice
John Cena vs. Elias [Grudge Match]
According to Dave Meltzer, John Cena is rumored to battle Elias at WWE WrestleMania 36. Although this bout may sound underwhelming, it is quite sensible because John Cena has been consistently dealing with Elias every time he returns to WWE.
Not only did Cena destroy Elias before fighting Undertaker at WWE WrestleMania 34 but he also roasted him as the Dr. of Thuganomics at WWE WrestleMania 35. Neither of these interactions involved these two superstars settling their beef in an actual match.
Henceforth, a match between these two superstars is very likely at this year’s WrestleMania. If this match occurs, don’t be surprised if Elias turns heel and gets the rub from losing to Cena.
Prediction: John Cena
AJ Styles vs. The Undertaker [Grudge Match]
Considering that AJ Styles‘ program with Randy Orton was dropped due to injury in the Royal Rumble, he does not really have a straight path to WWE WrestleMania 36. However, one of the matches the WWE Universe is dying to see is Undertaker vs. AJ Styles, and that match has been heavily rumored to occur at this year’s WrestleMania.
Since leaving Styles off the WrestleMania 36 card would be criminal in every sense of the word, a Mania Match against The Undertaker would be fitting. Thanks to 50:50 booking from last year’s WrestleMania, Styles was probably supposed to lose to Orton at this year’s WrestleMania, so expect him to lose to The Undertaker while making look strong in this match.
Prediction: Undertaker
Randy Orton vs. Edge [Grudge Match]
“I’m Sorry.” These are the words declaimed by Randy Orton after unleashing ruthless career-threatening steel chair assaults on both Edge and Matt Hardy. Although this match has not been made official, it is almost a foregone conclusion that Orton will continue unleashing his wrath until his main rival, Edge, eventually returns to in-ring action and challenges Orton to a No Holds Barred Match at WWE WrestleMania 36.
Thanks to 50:50 booking from last year’s WrestleMania, Orton was probably supposed to defeat Styles at this year’s WrestleMania. Also, Edge was the one who eliminated Orton from the Royal Rumble in the first place, so expect Orton to pull a swerve, get his full-fledged revenge, and decisively defeat Edge on the grandest stage of them all with a picture perfect RKO and hopefully a Punt Kick for good measure.
Prediction: Randy Orton
