I know, I know, way too obvious of a choice to make. Because of course they will have a pre-show battle royal (or as I like to call it, the “Big Smozz Match To Get Everyone On The Mania Card Who Isn’t Already On The Mania Card Memorial”) for both the men and the women, as they have at every WrestleMania show for the past few years.
However, the more I thought about what other matches needed to be added to the card and what stars needed to make the overall Mania card, it’s hard for any of those pieces to be put in place without knocking one off.
For instance, I feel like Liv Morgan vs. Ruby Riott (assuming we don’t get it on Raw between now and Mania) could happen at WrestleMania 36, but I also feel like Bianca Belair has earned herself a match at Mania after excelling on the road to Mania so far (specifically in the Rumble and in segments with Charlotte Flair). I also think Nia Jax could make her in-ring return at Mania.
So let’s kill a couple birds with the same stone. Have Morgan and Riott square off in the battle royal (maybe eliminate each other), have Nia Jax have a strong return showing, and in the spirit of making a new star on a big stage, give the win to Belair. Win-win-win for everyone.
