WWE Elimination Chamber 2020: 5 matches that should be added to the card
Angel Garza vs. Andrade (c) – United States Championship Match
There’s no denying that WWE is working toward Andrade vs. Angel Garza vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Rey Mysterio. Even though we’re months into the growing feud, there should definitely be a United States Title match between Andrade and one of his adversaries.
Humberto could easily step up as Andrade’s challenger, but he’s not the one who’s been racking up the wins lately. Angel Garza is on a roll right now, so I envision he and Andrade could easily set up a story to determine where Zelina Vega’s loyalty lies.
As we’ve seen, Andrade was off TV for a month, allowing Zelina to pair up with Angel. Because many fans are invested in the US Title picture right now, I don’t think there’d be a problem with putting a heel vs. heel match on the card. After all, Garza is often heard getting cheers anyway.
While Andrade could retain to walk into WrestleMania as champion, I could see a surprise victory from Garza to set up the inevitable four-way.
SmackDown Women’s Elimination Chamber Match
Three Elimination Chamber matches in one night sounds like overkill. Even knowing this, WWE would miss out on a perfect opportunity if they didn’t do an Elimination Chamber with the SmackDown women’s division.
Nearly the entire Raw women’s division is in their Chamber match, whereas SmackDown has more options for entrants. If the booking powers were left in my control, I would make this a number one contender’s match just like Raw.
As for the participants, I can easily name Naomi, Carmella, and Lacey Evans as the first three since they were Bayley’s most recent challengers. Rounding out the field would be Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, and Mandy Rose with their previous Chamber experience and recent TV time playing a factor.
Utilizing those six stars would allow a number of options in determining who will earn the coveted title match against Bayley at WrestleMania. (Even though everyone knows it should be Bayley vs. Sasha this year.)
Which matches would like to see round out the Elimination Chamber card?
