The Briscoe Brothers vs. Joe Hendry and Dalton Castle

More from Daily DDT

Before we move on to the main event, let’s talk about two main event worthy tag teams.

The Briscoe Brothers (two men who have been with the company since it opened in 2002) have won the World Tag Team Titles in Ring of Honor a staggering 11 times, more than any other team in the history of the belts. An argument can be made for them being one of the best, most cohesive tag teams in all of wrestling.

Joe Hendry and Dalton Castle, however … that’s another story.

Newbie Hendry boldly proclaimed himself to be Ring of Honor’s most entertaining person in all of ROH, disputing Castle’s claim to be just that. Rather than wrestle each other, they opted to wrestle together and while they continue to be at odds at time, they still have had their successes.

However, that dissension and odd couple dynamic is strong enough to suggest they are due for a loss to the much more experienced team of Jay and Mark. A loss that could very well split Castle and Hendry for good.

Prediction: Briscoes win; Castle turns on Hendry, or vice versa

Rush (c) vs. Mark Haskins – ROH World Championship

Rush is currently in his second reign with the ROH World Title – a feat only previously achieved by Austin Aries, Jay Briscoe and Adam Cole – and he won it back as fast as he lost it. After just 77 days with the belt, he lost it to PCO at Final Battle in December, only to win it back on the final day of February.

This marks his first defense of his new run, but he has some stiff competition in the form of one of the roster’s stiffest, hardest hitting, tough as nails fighters: Mark Haskins.

Haskins is certainly a formidable challenge, but don’t expect Rush to use this title so fast already.
