Why did Daniel Bryan Join AEW?

WWE wanted to sign exclusivity with Bryan, but it seems like his father-in-law and Vince failed to convince him to put pen to paper.

Daniel moved to AEW for his love of wrestling. Bryan Danielson wanted a limited schedule and the opportunity to work with NJPW. WWE couldn’t fulfill it, and so just like Mick Foley went to TNA several years ago, Daniel decided to take the same route. It’s a good decision as Bryan is respected for his wrestling worldwide, and the founder father of Ring of Honor (ROH) made sure that he gets to pursue his passion for wrestling as his wife and sister-in-law plan to return to the WWE.

Braun Strowman in talks with Impact Wrestling

This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter shared a thought from Dave Meltzer and reported by WrestlingNews.co that Adam Scherr, f.k.a., Braun Strowman may sign with Impact Wrestling. Adam teased this with a tweet, and it looks like he would sign with the promotion. If that happens, it will be a welcome change, and WWE would not be happy with their decision to release him.

Adam also called his former Wyatt Family leader, and if he also joins hands, then it would be a mistake by Vince and Co. Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt have a huge fan base and mass appeal. If the two or even Braun joins Impact, then the impact of this debut will be grander than the Raw ratings in recent memory.

Sami Zayn’s contract may be up soon

The Conspiracy Theorist’s contract with WWE will be up later this year. Dave Meltzer noted on this week’s WWE notes that Sami Zayn’s contract expiry date is unclear.

If this is true, then WWE would be in the midst of nowhere. Two talented superstars would be gone in quick time. Owens leaving in January of next year, and Zayn’s contract expires later this year smells like jeopardy is cooking.

Gable Steven’s Debut and passing of the torch by Brock Lesnar

Dave Meltzer noted, and SEScoops reported that Gable Stevenson is now in the WWE and may debut in May 2022. If this is a fact, then it would be a quick jump to the main roster. Why is Vince McMahon and the team in a rush with Gable Steven?

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince has planned a passing the torch moment between Lesnar and Steven at WrestleMania. Brock and Gable know each other as Lesnar is from the same college as Steven and has mentored the Olympian in his initial days.
