The potential shuttering of Ring of Honor created a lot of buzz about where the potential stars of that promotion may turn up next. Jay Lethal’s appearance at AEW Full Gear and subsequent match at the next AEW Dynamite showed that anyone could show up. That includes three big names in the women’s division, Trish Adora, Willow Nightingale, and Erica Leigh.

Twitter was abuzz on Wednesday night as news came out that the three women participated in dark matches.

With four years of professional experience under her belt according to Cagematch, Adora has quickly become one of the biggest prospects in the industry. She was recently listed number one in the BWI 500 and number 18 in the PWI Women’s 150. She has two title runs under her belt that total 1,404 days and counting, as she held the GCW Women’s title for 762 days and is the current Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Wrestling World Champion, a title she’s held for 642 days.

Her match on Dark Elevation was against Riho.

Nightingale is another wrestler with a large following across wrestling. She’s performed in AEW in the past, while also competing in GCW, ROH, MLW, SHIMMER, and other organizations across the industry. Nightingale is also a multiple-time champion, most recently holding the CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas Champion with Solo Darling for 228 days.

Leigh was the third woman included in the Dark Elevation taping. In her four years of professional experience, she’s performed with GCW, Beyond, Pro Wrestling Magic, and multiple other promotions across the independent scene.

Fans were happy to see these ladies on the show, as each would be a big signing to the company as AEW continues to build its women’s division while improving on the overall booking.
