Independent Wrestling: An exciting chapter in Big Swole’s career
By J.C.
Big Swole mutually parted ways from AEW and is already making plans for a return to the Independent Wrestling circuit. Her time in AEW gave excitement the moment she signed a few years back due to her unmatched charisma and competitive nature. It was a great start for AEW as they got the ball rolling for their women’s division.
Back in August, there was an article written about how Big Swole benefitted from the growing AEW women’s division and that remains true. A few weeks after that article was made, her match with Diamante was perhaps the most talked-about AEW Dark match ever as their rivalry came to a close.
The article also mentioned how Big Swole was just getting started. She set forth a foundation of having a relentless mindset and putting the best foot forward. Her presence and energy will be felt as she wrestles on the Independent Wrestling circuit.
Big Swole will be an influential competitor in the Independent Wrestling circuit.
Big Swole left a lasting legacy in AEW that can’t be measured by titles. rivalries, or her overall win-loss record. She brought perspective when it comes to wrestlers and journalists of color. The message is that wrestlers of color sell tickets and encourage people to have a voice no matter where they perform and always strive for something better and never settle.
The fact Swole wasn’t on Dynamite and did what she could on AEW Dark with strong support is a testament to her power as a performer. There are more opportunities than ever before to stream on Independent Wrestling TV, Title Match Wrestling Network, and YouTube.
All of that is a testament to her ability to market whether it’s on live television, pay-per-view, or streamed online. Every moment counts with Big Swole and she lives for big moments anywhere. That’s a quality that makes fans follow her whether she’s on an AEW, Rise, or any Independent show.
Swole leaving AEW is a bittersweet moment as there were many potential dream matches as the roster grew. This includes potential pay-per-view matches against the likes of Thunder Rosa, Serena Deeb, and Ruby Soho. The good news is that the dream matches won’t stop and will just appear elsewhere.
The amount of talent in the independent circuit seems to grow every single day. Big Swole is already fired-up about the possibilities, the same way fans were fired up about the growth of AEW’s women’s division.
The other aspect is who will Big Swole face? The list is so long that there would have to be a separate three-part article series just to cover a portion of who she has in mind. One person she has in mind seems to be Impact Wrestling’s own Tasha Steelz.
The rivalry when the forbidden door was open was the most entertaining exchange between the two talents on social media. The two had a competitive match against each other months ago, and it was a missed opportunity from both AEW and Impact not displaying them for their respective pay-per-view banners.
The two talents will certainly go at it again, and it won’t disappoint. After that match, there will be a lot of other matches to come. No matter who and no matter where it will be a hot ticket for everyone involved.
The Independent Wrestling circuit having such a variety of talent has made it possible for a storyteller like Big Swole to thrive. The great thing about Big Swole is that there are truly unlimited possibilities of what could happen when she is involved, and fans will be along for the ride.
The journey of Big Swole is just getting started and fans won’t be disappointed as they witness more moments. Whether fans see it in person or order the stream, fans are bound to get an even bigger taste of the Swole mentality in the Independent wrestling circuit.
