WWE MITB 2023: 3 Compelling Challengers For Rhea Ripley

WWE MITB 2023 is approximately one month away, and WWE has not yet built any blockbuster feuds for this “premium live event.” However, there are already some rumored matchups, like Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa vs. Usos. This event is taking place in the UK, which means there will be strong support for UK WWE superstars, such as Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Finn Balor, and much more. Rhea Ripley, a household name from NXT UK, will likely defend her title at this event.

The following will provide three compelling challengers for Rhea Ripley, who successfully defended the title against both Zelina Vega and Natalya since dethroning Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 and is on a monster run as SmackDown Women’s Champion.

WWE MITB 2023 is scheduled to take place on July 1, 2023, live on Peacock. Here are three compelling challengers for Rhea Ripley at WWE MITB 2023.

3.) Piper Niven

Piper Niven is from Scotland, so she would be a great choice to get the UK crowd on her side in challenging the heel Rhea Ripley for the title. Niven and Ripley actually have a history from NXT UK. They can use their history to tell a compelling story pertaining to how their divergent paths from since then have led to this moment at MITB. They also have amazing chemistry in the ring due to their technical prowess and hard-hitting offense. It should be a treat if they go at it again.

2.) Tegan Nox

Tegan Nox is from Wales, so she would be a great choice to get the UK crowd on her side in challenging the heel Rhea Ripley for the title. Nox and Ripley have a history from NXT: USA due to their times in War Games together and even teaming up in the build to Survivor Series 2019, where NXT competed in the brand war for the first time. Nox is actually one of the most underrated superstars in the locker room and would put up a great showing against Ripley.

1.) Raquel Rodriguez

Outside of Becky Lynch, Raquel Rodriguez is probably the biggest threat to Ripley’s title reign on Raw right now. She consistently wins her singles matches and is consistently booked strong with adequate momentum. Although she has been busy in the tag division, she is a former NXT Women’s Champion who has solidified herself as a main-event player after enduring top title matches with Rousey on SmackDown in 2022. She beat Ripley in NXT, but can she do it again?
