WWE NXT Great American Bash 2023 Predictions: Damian Priest Will Cash In On Carmelo Hayes

WWE NXT Great American Bash is this Sunday, and WWE has already announced two blockbuster title matches or this “premium live event”: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship and Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Thea Hail for the NXT Women’s Championship.

In other news regarding WWE NXT, Dominick Mysterio won the North American Title from Wes Lee, so it seems that the planned title match between Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali will now be a triple-threat match. After seeing that happen, it’s hard to believe anything makes sense on this show.

With that being said, the following will provide some rapid-fire match card predictions for what should be the biggest NXT event of the summer: WWE NXT Great American Bash.

WWE NXT Great American Bash is scheduled to take place on July 30, 2023, live on Peacock. Here are the full match card predictions.

Gallus (c) vs. D’Angelo Family [NXT Tag Team Championship]

D’Angelo Family will dethrone Gallus because they basically built up an entire storyline about Tony D’Angelo getting bailed from jail to reunite with Stacks. With that kind of long-term buildup, they need the babyface payoff in this story with a tag title victory and their first-ever titles in NXT.

Prediction: D’Angelo Family

Roxanne Perez vs. Blair Davenport [Unsanctioned Match]

Roxanne Perez will defeat Blair Davenport as payback for attacking her out of nowhere. As the top babyface in NXT, Roxanne needs to find a way back to the title picture against the heel world champ. Her pep talk with Booker T should pay off here with some babyface comeuppance.

Dirty Dom (c) vs. Wes Lee vs. Mustafa Ali [NXT North American Championship]

Dirty Dom will retain the NXT North American Championship because he just won it and Judgment Day is clearly taking over NXT, especially after their interactions with Carmelo Hayes. Speaking of Hayes, the Judgment Day fun does not end here. There’s more where that came from.

Prediction: Dirty Dom

Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Thea Hail [NXT Women’s Championship]

Tiffany Stratton will defeat Thea Hail to retain the title because Stratton just won the belt a month ago and Hail has no business winning the title due to her lackluster credibility as a challenger. Stratton will move on and beat Roxanne at the next big NXT event before Roxanne gets called up.

Prediction: Tiffany Stratton

Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Ilja Dragunov [NXT Championship]

Carmelo Hayes will retain the NXT Championship against Ilja Dragunov because there is no storyline reason for Dragunov to win and Hayes will actually get cashed in on by Damian Priest so that Hayes can get called up to the main roster to form the Hurt Business with Bobby Lashley.
