AJ Styles

AJ Styles is another performer who has a history with Will Ospreay. They’ve competed in one singles match, a 2015 contest in RPW. As with many of his other past matches mentioned in this piece, Styles and Ospreay delivered a strong outing. Bringing them back together in 2023 or 2024 would be another intriguing story to watch unfold.

Styles’s career arc is very similar to that of Ospreay. He’s an individual who made his name outside of the company for years, putting together what is a Hall of Fame career well before adding WWE to his resume. Coming into that company was the perfect frosting on the cake, he earned the opportunity to grow his legacy in wrestling and while the opinion on how that has played out will vary for some – Styles is still seen as one of the top performers in the business.

Styles versus Ospreay may not seem like as strong of a main event feud as some others on this list, but it would still grab fans’ attention. Using this match to introduce the latter to the WWE Universe would be a strong way to welcome him into the fold.
