WWE: Becky Lynch Will LOSE Her Championship To Liv Morgan

After Rhea Ripley defeated Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40, Rhea relinquished the World Title due to injury from her backstage brawl with Liv Morgan. WWE proceeded to book a battle royal on the April 22, 2024 WWE Raw Episode to determine the new champion, and, won her 7th World Championship in that Battle Royal. Many fans were puzzled by this "safe option" booking by WWE, as it initially seemed counterproductive for Lynch to win the World Title when she already lost to Ripley at WrestleMania 40 and, on top of that, has a contract with WWE that is expiring in just a few weeks.

With that being said, the following will focus on the three top contestants to dethrone Becky Lynch on the road to WWE SummerSlam 2024.

Dark Horse: Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria was the woman who dethroned Becky Lynch for the NXT Women's Title and has been allied with her since that day due to mutual respect. She has strongly indicated this alliance by helping Becky fend off Damage Control on Raw. Due to her impressive 1-0 track record against The Man, Lyra is a top candidate to ensure that history repeats itself. However, she only recently got called up to the main roster in the WWE Draft, and it would be way too soon for her to win the world title. Henceforth, she will remain the dark horse sleeper pick to dethrone Becky Lynch this summer.

(3) Iyo Sky

Iyo Sky is the betting favorite on Raw to advance to the finals and win the QOTR Tournament because she has the most credibility as a former World Champion. She has also teased the idea of targeting the World Title on Raw by ambushing Becky Lynch with Damage Control. She could use her potential victory in the Tournament to earn a World Title Shot and dethrone Becky Lynch in a dream match. However, since Iyo just recently lost a World Title to Bayley at Mania 40, she does not really need to be the one to dethrone Becky, as a break away from the title picture would be best for her right now.

(2) Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley is the superstar who relinquished the World Title around Becky's waist in the first place, so she has every reason to return from injury and win back the title she never lost. The story writes itself. Ripley is set to return by SummerSlam in August, so her title match will inevitably take place then. However, Ripley already finished her story with Becky after a clean win at WrestleMania 40. When Ripley comes back, she not only wants to win her title back but she also wants to get revenge on a certain someone who was on a revenge tour of her own and took Ripley out of commission.

(1) Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan was the last superstar eliminated by Becky Lynch when Becky won the Battle Royal on Raw a few weeks ago to win the World Title that Rhea Ripley relinquished. Liv bounced back from that loss by defeating Nia Jax to earn this world title shot. Since Liv has a strong story with Rhea Ripley and wants to take everything away from her, it seems likely that Morgan will win the title nefariously with Dirty Dom's help. Becky was merely an emergency transitional champion used to elevate and put over Liv on a big stage so that Liv's title victory was not relegated to a random Raw Battle Royal.
