Zaria stands out in a packed WWE NXT women's division

There’s a lot of online chatter around the WWE NXT women’s division. This division is stacked with performers who fit the mold of what the company looks for in top performers. While individuals are focused on the likes of Roxanne Perez, Stephanie Vaquer, Kelani Jordan, and others – there’s one who has a strong potential to become a star. The performer is Zaria and she’s off and running on the Tuesday night show.

There are a lot of reasons to love what Zaria brings to the table. WWE has long been known for a particular “look” within its women’s roster. While some may sway outside of that, there are few who look completely different, even across different races and ethnic groups. Zaria completely blows that mold apart.

Zaria stands at 5’8 and 165 pounds, which is smaller than several other women on the roster. But she presents as a giant powerhouse in a way that few others in the women’s division can or have in the past. In many ways, she looks and presents like an amalgamation of Chyna and Luna Vachon, two iconic performers in the industry. Her move set displays that power and does so in a way that is believable. Just look at how she was throwing around Nikita Lyons on the February 11 episode of WWE NXT as an example. She’s a force to be reckoned with and that allows her to stand out among the packed women’s division.

Zaria has the aura that WWE wants in its superstars

It's interesting to speculate where Zaria will end up on the WWE roster. She came into NXT at a time in which Giulia was expected to be the next in line after Roxanne Perez to hold the NXT Women’s Championship. That’s the case today, but Stephanie Vaquer’s rise is hard to ignore. Fans have taken to her in a way that may have been miscalculated and she’s quickly becoming a star in NXT and beyond. Zaria is having her own run, but it doesn’t seem like she fits into either title picture at this time. Which is the challenge of having a roster with so much depth.

What about the main roster? Right off the bat the idea of a match between Zaria and Rhea Ripley would get fans excited. One thing that has been a challenge of Ripley’s reign at the top is that she’s such a physical presence compared to her peers. Zaria would be a nice change of pace in that position and WWE could play off their ties to Australia to present a “history” between them. Then there are others like Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, Bianca Belair – so many potential matches worth mentioning.

WWE has a talented women’s division on every brand. While fans complain about their utilization on SmackDown and Monday Night Raw, it’s NXT that has become the top presentation of the division in the game. Zaria is one of the performers to keep a close eye on. She has all the makings of a star and it will be interesting to see if WWE puts her in a position to succeed. They have a special on their hands and she stands out too much to easily be lost in the shuffle.
