Even though WWE Survivor Series is this Sunday, it will mark three weeks until the WWE TLC PPV, which will take place on December 14.

More from Brock Lesnar

Since we already know what matches will be taking on the Survivor Series PPV this Sunday, it’s time to start moving towards how the TLC PPV card could look three weeks from Sunday.

Earlier this week, we took a look at how most of the Survivor Series main event could break up into different matches for the December show. That seems like it could be slowly headed in that direction with one of the match options below, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

"There was some speculation that John Cena may get his WWE World Heavyweight Title shot against Brock Lesnar at December’s TLC pay-per-view as Lesnar will be returning to TV next month. It hasn’t been confirmed that Cena vs. Lesnar won’t take place at TLC but Cena is also being considered for a Tables, Ladders & Chairs three-way with Seth Rollins and Randy Orton.Either way, it looks like Rollins will be in the Tables, Ladders & Chairs match. If the three-way doesn’t happen, the other option being considered is Rollins vs. Orton."

With the way that WWE has been keeping Brock Lesnar off of TV (Or if he’s taking time off), it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the one of the other options for a TLC match.  However, there is a bone to pick with the alternatives.

Putting John Cena into the rivalry with Randy Orton and Seth Rollins does not make sense. While Cena has had his problems with Mr. Money in the Bank over the past few months, Orton and Rollins deserve their own match so they could be the focus. Putting the leader of the Cenation into this match would show that WWE has no clue where to put him on the card so throwing him into this rivalry would make sense to them.

While leaving Cena out of TLC would not make sense since he’s WWE’s best draw, there must be a logical way to work him into the card. It wouldn’t hurt to put him into the mid-card, as he would only strengthen it. Of course, if they choose to give him his title shot against Lesnar next month, none of this will matter because Cena will be in the main event of the show.

With all of this in mind, what should WWE do with John Cena at TLC if he does not face Brock Lesnar?
