Throughout NXT TakeOver: Orlando, WWE NXT revealed new title designs for their championships.

Earlier Saturday, we noted how WWE NXT announced new designs for their three titles — Tag Team, Women’s and NXT Championships. It’s the first time any of them have undergone a change since being introduced between 2012 and 2014.

First would be the NXT Tag Team Championship, which the Authors of Pain defended against DIY and the Revival. The design looked similar to the old one, but had a sleeker look.

Then came the NXT Women’s Championship, held by Asuka and defended against Ember Moon. The pink would be removed from the belt and have the “X” placed at the center, similar to the men’s look.

Finally, the NXT Championship of Bobby Roode’s had its new design revealed. It looked similar to the new women’s belt, keeping the “X” at the center of it too.

All see designs can be seen below, starting with the NXT Tag Team Championship:

All of these belts should help usher in a new era for NXT, something it needed and somewhat got on Saturday night. From new faces arriving (Aleister Black and Drew Galloway) to some terrific matches taking place, the future of the brand was displayed and made for a satisfying night.

As for the titles, all three of them stayed with their original owners. It’s rare that WWE events like this don’t feature trading of the belts, but that became the case here. However, they all came in terrific matches that rocked the Amway Center in Orlando, FL.

We’ll see these three new championship designs take over WWE NXT for the future. It’s a smart move by developmental to give themselves a new look, which could be one small step toward regaining the luster they once had.
