WWE Great Balls of Fire 2017 Match Card: Enzo Amore vs. Big Cass Set
A top match on the WWE Great Balls of Fire undercard was announced on Monday night just minutes before Raw.
In six days, the 2017 WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view will take place. It’s the first time the company has hosted a show under this name, and will be a Raw-exclusive show.
Ever since Big Cass turned on Enzo Amore, it looked like these two would head to Great Balls of Fire in a match. Cass broke away in June, revealing himself as the culprit of Amore’s backstage attack.
Hours before Monday’s episode of Raw, WWE confirmed Amore vs. Cass for Great Balls of Fire on Twitter. Mike Rome announced this in the video below:
Amore vs. Cass is the latest match to be added to Great Balls of Fire. It will join five other bouts, which WWE made official in June.
Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe will headline Great Balls of Fire. They’ll compete for the Universal Championship, which Joe won the opportunity to compete for, at Extreme Rules.
Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman will battle in one of the top nontitle matches of the night. They’ll have an Ambulance match stipulation, potentially leading to Strowman saying “I am finished with you.”
After winning a No. 1 Contender Gauntlet match, Sasha Banks will challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship at Great Balls of Fire. She’ll look to pry the belt off Alexa Bliss.
Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins will go head-to-head in another undercard contest. Wyatt and Rollins both lost out on the Universal Championship opportunity at Extreme Rules.
In the third title match, Neville and Akira Tozawa will collide for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. This is the first non-Austin Aries opponent for Neville at a PPV since Fastlane in February.
