WWE SummerSlam 2015: How Undertaker Can Reform the Ministry of Darkness

facebooktwitterreddit

The Undertaker can reform an old faction from the Attitude at SummerSlam. Find out how he can do this against Brock Lesnar.

In this re-kindled Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker feud, we’ve seen the latter resort to heel tactics, which was unexpected. Most notably, he has been giving Lesnar multiple low blows to combat him. However, he has still been raising his fist as he walks away from the ring, which is very much a face move.

What if these heels moves were the start of more to come?

Undertaker giving Lesnar multiple low blows won’t keep him down for long in a match. Lesnar has been built too strong to have that cost him a pin.

Lesnar will likely dominate Undertaker for most of the match because he is simply too powerful. Although, as we saw when The Authority attacked Lesnar last month, the numbers game can get to him.

So, who’s to say that Undertaker won’t enlist some kind of help to defeat Lesnar?

How about reforming The Ministry of Darkness?

For those who don’t know, The Ministry of Darkness was a faction led by Undertaker in 1998. At one time, this group included Farooq, Bradshaw, Mideon, Viscera, The Brood (Gangrel, Edge and Christian) and Paul Bearer as the manager.

This heel stable was involved in very dark storylines that involved cult-like rituals. You can see Stephanie McMahon being “forced” to marry Undertaker in the video below.

A present day Ministry of Darkness could be developed at SummerSlam to combat Lesnar.

During the match, with the referee inadvertently attacked and unconscious on the ground, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper can come running to the ring from backstage. They could club Lesnar from behind and begin beating him down. However, given how strong Lesnar is, he could show some signs of fighting back.

That’s when a third member comes down to the ring in NXT’s Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf has a somewhat dark gimmick that would only get grimmer when he aides in the attack.

Corbin assisting Harper and Wyatt would be too much for Lesnar, who would get hit with Sister Abigail, End of Days and a discus clothesline. The trio would then exit the ring.

Then we see Undertaker and the referee both getting up. ‘Taker hits a devastating chokeslam on Lesnar, followed up by a Tombstone Piledriver and gets the pinfall win over the man who beat him at WrestleMania 30.

So why would Wyatt and Harper join Undertaker?

WWE has largely ignored Undertaker defeating Wyatt at this year’s WrestleMania. They’ve treated it like a blip on the radar now that this feud is in place.

However, what if this match for Wyatt was just a test to get Undertaker’s approval? The Eater of Worlds would have had to impress ‘Taker for this match run-in to happen. Given that Wyatt lasted a decent time in the ring at WrestleMania 31, this would have been enough to get his approval.

Then there’s Harper, who simply follows along with everything Wyatt does as part of The Wyatt Family.

How about Corbin? Why would he join the future WWE Hall of Famer?

Undertaker would have been watching Corbin’s progress as a developing heel since he changed his attitude over the past few months. His victory over a veteran in Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn would also impress him.

This feud would also be a way of putting Joe on the main roster given his brief history with Corbin. However, Lesnar being booked on his own may make more sense.

Getting back to the beat down of Lesnar. This would put him out for months until Royal Rumble season. By then, Undertaker’s Ministry would have been running all over WWE with him making sporadic appearances to watch over these men. Erick Rowan would even be added to the mix when he comes back from injury.

We would get an angle between Lesnar and Undertaker at Royal Rumble (not a match) to help set up a third installment of these two at WrestleMania 32 with the Ministry at ringside.

And we leave it there.

Would you want to see the return of The Ministry of Darkness? How would you book this to happen at SummerSlam?
