WWE Raw Segment Reportedly Botched

Which segment on this past episode of WWE Raw wasn’t executed as planned?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc), a segment on WWE Raw did not go as planned.

During Raw, there was a Miz TV segment with Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Paige, who are all part of Team PCB. The segment was supposed to feature the three Divas showing tension and a subtle tease of breaking them up. Instead, we saw nothing close to that. They all talked about their friendship, seemingly stuck together and ended up teaming up on The Miz. They would then lose a match to Brie and Nikki Bella, and Alicia Fox.

This is yet another botch in what’s been a faltering Divas Revolution.

The Divas Revolution started out hot with Charlotte, Becky and Sasha Banks all being called up. Everyone thought things would be different and so did WWE. However, while they’ve received more in-ring time, that’s about it.

What’s missing from the Divas Revolution is clarity. Why are these women fighting? What are they fighting for? Why should we care?

We haven’t received an answer to any of these questions and it’s making the fans lose interest.

Then there’s the lack of time on the microphone. While they briefly got it during an episode of Miz TV, there’s a reason WWE did it. They don’t feel comfortable enough having any of the nine Divas involved in this feud taking control on the mic. Miz is a talented speaker and can carry a segment with his voice, therefore he was put in it.

Taking the next step forward with this revolution would be letting these women be able to talk to the fans. Let them cut a promo on whatever they’re feuding about. Get the fans behind them.

Since none of the women were able to do that on Raw, the fans called for someone who wasn’t even out there (Sasha). She hasn’t been given a chance on the mic but since the crowd wasn’t interested in what the other women had to say during Miz TV, they wanted something else. This isn’t on Paige, Charlotte, Becky or Team Bella but it’s on WWE. This Divas Revolution has been a failure so far and it’s on WWE for not really giving them a chance.
