With two title matches at Night of Champions, is Seth Rollins in danger of losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship?

More from John Cena

Living life as the WWE World Heavyweight and United States champion, you would think life would be great. But for WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, life has been anything but great following his controversial win against former United States champion John Cena at SummerSlam. Since his win at SummerSlam, Rollins has gone from being the man, to a statue unveiling, to two title matches at Night of Champions.

Following his historical win at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins became the first man in WWE history to hold both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the United States Championship belts. The following night on Raw, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H announced following the win, they were getting a statue built-in Rollins’ honor, cementing him as one of the all-time greats, up there with legends like Bruno Sammartino, André the Giant, and the Ultimate Warrior.

Let me set the scene, at the end of Monday Night Raw, Stephanie, Triple H, and Rollins in the ring, with the statue underneath a curtain in the middle of the ring. The curtain rises to show the statue, but instead of the statue, it is revealed that former WCW icon Sting swapped places with statue and has some unfinished business with the Authority.

Fast-forward one week, with Sting opening Monday Night Raw, after the announcement of a Sting versus Seth Rollins WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Night of Champions. In the promo Sting does everything he can to get into hot head Rollins’ head, saying how good that Triple H was at WrestleMania and that Rollins is only half the man who Triple H is, and that Rollins is not the man but a little boy.

Off to the last segment of Raw, Rollins calling out Sting for calling him half the man Triple H is, and out comes 15 time WWE champion John Cena. Cena, who has a rematch clause in his contract, went out for one of two reason; one, to get into Rollins’ head about how the Authority and Rollins are not really friends, and two, to cash in his rematch clause for the United States Championship at Night of Champions.

The question heading into Night of Champions is, will Rollins retain any of the two titles, losing the United States title to Cena, lose the WWE title to Sting, or will Mr. Money in the bank, Sheamus, cash in on a beat up and tired Rollins?

Back on August 10th, on Monday Night Raw, Mr. Money in the Bank attempted a cash in during a WWE title match, when he knocked out both Randy Orton and Rollins in an attempt to take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship away from Rollins. But Sheamus’ attempt would be thwarted, when Orton came to, hitting Sheamus with the RKO.

Would Night of Champions be the perfect time for Sheamus to take advantage of tired and beaten down Rollins? Should Sting win the WWE Title, would Sheamsu attempt cash in on a worn down vigilante?
