1. The Divas Against the Clock
Over the past couple of months we’ve seen the so-called “Divas Revolution” on the main roster. Whether or not you believe that a revolution is really happening for the women of WWE, you can’t deny that they’re getting the most screen time they have for a long time. It’s just a shame that not all the time is given to actual matches.
Anyway, back to this week’s action. We saw all three members of Team PCB in Beat the Clock matches to determine the number one contender to Nikki Bella’s Divas Championship. The winner of the night was Charlotte, who is now set to challenge for the belt at some point.
Originally set for Night of Champions, Charlotte let us know on SmackDown that she’s asked the Authority to bring the match forward in hope of stopping Nikki from breaking the record for longest raining Divas Champion in history.
While all this made for good television, it was something else from Charlotte that makes this the number one moment of the week.
Sitting down with Michael Cole for a WWE.com interview, Charlotte showed more passion and emotion for wrestling, how her family is everything to her and how she’s ready to take that title away from Nikki Bella.
Seeing such an honest interview from someone who comes from such a legendary family in pro wrestling really shows you that she really is a woman who can do amazing things in this sport. She’s not a typical WWE Diva of old. She’s not just someone who got where she is because of her looks or backstage politics.
Charlotte is here to change the face of women’s wrestling in WWE. She’s so fired up for the impending match for the title that I can’t see beyond her being the woman who makes the WWE Universe sit up and take the women’s division seriously.
