Seth Rollins won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship back at WrestleMania 31. Which Superstar has the best chance of winning the WWE Title from Rollins?

More from John Cena

After beating John Cena at SummerSlam, WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, became the man to hold both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the United States Championship. On the following night on Raw, with Stephanie McMahon and Triple inflating Rollins’ ego, Sting made a surprise return to the WWE, looking to finish what he started before WrestleMania, and challenging Rollins for the WWE Title.

After Cena cashed in his rematch clause, Rollins now has two title matches at Night of Champions, one for the United States Championship versus Cena, and another for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship versus Sting. Could Sting become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion or would someone else have a better run as the Champion? Here are my top five Superstars that could hold the WWE title after Seth Rollins

1. Sting

The former WCW icon Sting faces Rollins at Night of Champions for the WWE Title. The 10 time World Champion returned after the night after SummerSlam to put an damper on Rollins’ parade, and to shatter his ego, by challenging Rollins to a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. Since returning to the WWE, Sting has been a thorn in Rollins’ side, playing head games, calling him a little boy and taunting Rollins over his statue. But if Sting were to win the WWE Title, would Mr. Money in the Bank use the opportunity to cash in his Title match contract?

2. Sheamus

Speaking of Mr. Money in the Bank, Sheamus could use Night of Champions to cash in his the briefcase for a WWE Title on a tired and beaten down champion in Rollins. If Sheamus were to cash in, it would be the first successful cash in since Rollins cashed in at WrestleMania to win the title from former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

3. Randy Orton

A former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton has both gone to battle with Rollins, but more recently has memorable battles against Rollins since his return before WrestleMania 31. Orton, the 12 time World Champion, had two title matches against Rollins, a steel cage match at Extreme Rules and  a fatal four-way match at Payback. If Orton were champion, feuds against any superstar would automatically have more meaning, such as a feud with Sheamus, instead of just feuding over a come disdain for each other.

4. Roman Reigns

Former Shield Brother, Roman Reigns has had a hot year in 2015. Reigns started the year off by winning the Royal Rumble, but in turn was forced to prove he was worthy of a WWE title shot against fan favorite Daniel Bryan at Fast Lane. At WrestleMania, in the main event against former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, Reigns proved he was worthy of the title shot, but was pinned by Rollins, as Rollins walked away with the title belt. Reigns was just fingertips away from having another shot at the WWE title, almost winning the Money in the Bank briefcase, before outside interference helped Sheamus win.

5. Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose has had it in for Rollins since last June, after the former Shield Brother, Rollins, took a steal chair to the backs of Reigns and Ambrose. Ambrose has had his fair share of WWE title matches in the past year, facing off against Rollins twice in singles match the championship. The first match was at Elimination Chamber, back in late may, when Rollins used an official as a human shield to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Following the match, and after winning the match, Ambrose ran out of the building with the title belt, along with Roman Reigns, and held the title belt until a WWE title ladder match two weeks later at Money in the Bank.
