Final Thoughts
Another good show from the blue brand this week, as all the major feuds heading into Hell in a Cell were shown and given time. While the tag team title feud wasn’t touched on too thoroughly, it has been a long established feud so they didn’t need to as badly as they needed to pump up their other matches.
Having Xavier Woods sell his injuries by not appearing on SmackDown is actually a great idea by WWE. It made Kofi and Big E more focused as competitors even if they didn’t lose their goofiness. Consistency in storytelling is what WWE needs to focus on, and this was a good small step moving forward.
The best part of SmackDown this week: Tyler Breeze! His debut was extremely well done, and by having it on SmackDown it gives the show more relevance than just being a running RAW recap. Breeze currently has two exciting feuds going, one with Samoa Joe in NXT, and a blossoming one between himself and Dolph Ziggler. If handled correctly from here on out, Breeze can be a major player on the WWE main roster.
