No. 1 Contender’s Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns

Result: Roman Reigns defeats Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens via pinfall to become the new No. 1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Rating: 3.4 out of 5 stars

Owens and Ziggler start brawling while Reigns and Del Rio do as well. Reigns slammed Del Rio into the announce table but Owens came over and attacked Roman. He went back to Ziggler and planted him into the barrier.

Reigns would put Del Rio into the barrier before Owens came over and punched Reigns and threw him back in the ring.

Owens started throwing right hands on Reigns in the ring. Outside the ring, Del Rio hopped off the barrier and elbowed Ziggler.

In the ring, Del Rio and Owens worked on Reigns with punches. Roman came back with kicks to both men and a suplex to each. Ziggler came in the ring and got hit with a Samoan Drop.

Del Rio began working on Reigns with kicks until he got thrown out of the ring. Roman then hit the drive-by kick on Owens at the ropes and Del Rio on the announce table. Ziggler then hit a big superkick on Reigns to take control.

We come back to see Ziggler and Reigns getting attacked by the heels. Ziggler starts getting toyed with in the ring by Owens and Del Rio as they elbow him down. Owens goes outside the ring to kick Reigns. As Del Rio went for a pin, Owens pulled him off. Del Rio would shove him but Owens responded with a few right hands. Del Rio threw a few back and hit a big kick to send Owens out of the ring.

Reigns came back in and slammed Del Rio down for a near-fall. He started throwing clotheslines in the corner before hitting a big right hand.

Ziggler would go for the Zig-Zag but Reigns blocked it. Reigns hit an elbow and a big right hand before Ziggler hit a dropkick and a DDT for a near-fall.

Reigns would plant Ziggler with a sit-down powerbomb for a near-fall. He set up for the Superman Punch and hit it. Del Rio threw Reigns out of the ring and attempted the pin, but couldn’t get it.

Owens threw Reigns into the steps. Del Rio hit an enziguri on Owens and Ziggler hit a Fameasser on Del Rio for a near-fall.

Del Rio would get another near-fall on Ziggler. He went to the top rope but Ziggler pushed him off. As Ziggler went for a superplex, Owens caught him. Reigns then hit a Superman Punch on Del Rio. Ziggler superkicked Reigns and Owens suplexed Ziggler. He then hit a cannonball on Ziggler and Del Rio while Reigns hit a drive-by on Del Rio.

Owens hit a superkick but Reigns hit a Superman Punch and spear for the win.

Reigns and Rollins stared each other down until the champion took his title and walked away.

Rob’s Note: Not a surprise. Reigns is on the fast track right now. But is he going to win the title at Survivor Series? May be too soon but we’ll see what happens.
