No longer with WWE:

Los Matadores: The resident bull fighters of the squared circle have never been a serious contender in the tag division since their re-debut in the WWE in 2013. The most over member of the group has been a a miniature wrestler dressed as a bull. That’s never a good sign for a team, when the biggest part of the team is the mascot. The men behind the masks have been on the roster since 2008 and 2010, respectively. They have not had the best connection as a team, and could be the next guys on the chopping block if WWE makes more cuts.

Not together: Some teams are meant to be together forever. Some teams instead have one member that just has a little more “it” factor, which could lead to these three teams breaking up.

PrimeTime Players: Vince McMahon loves guys with a certain look: big & muscular. Titus O’Neil fits that bill really well. When the PrimeTime Players broke up the first time in 2014, Titus didn’t really get a push at all. He ended up in a short-lived tag team with Heath Slater as Slater Gator and didn’t get a singles run at all. Titus has one of those looks that Vince will not let stay in a tag team forever. By 2017, Young will be left to hang out in the undercard while Titus gets another singles push.

Lucha Dragons: There hasn’t been a strong luchador in WWE since the departure of Rey Mysterio. Kalisto, the former Samuray del Sol, can fill that void. He is exciting in the ring and can sell a ton of merchandise. The first one to try to fill that void was Kalisto’s current tag team partner Sin Cara. The Sin Cara character doesn’t have the legs that Kalisto does, and Kalisto will break free and be one of the top faces in the 2017 mid-card.

Vaudevillains: The Vaudevillains are an entertaining team down in NXT currently. Simon Gotch and Aiden English have added a great element to the tag team division in NXT, but Gotch has a shorter expiration date than English, being five years his senior. Gotch is a more well-rounded performer than English, so he may be expedited to the main roster. The Vaudevillain gimmick may not have legs on the main roster, but Gotch himself will.
