WWE Roadblock 2016: What if Dean Ambrose Defeats Triple H?

Many expect him to lose, but what if Dean Ambrose defeats Triple H at WWE Roadblock?

On Saturday night, Dean Ambrose and Triple H will headline WWE Roadblock for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This match was made about two weeks ago on an episode of Raw when the Lunatic Fringe challenged for the belt. The Game would reluctantly accept, beat down his opponent, and go from there.

The issue with this match being made is the WrestleMania 32 main event of Triple H vs. Roman Reigns for the title is already set. It has made fans believe that, no matter what, the King of Kings will walk out of Roadblock with his belt.

However, what if Ambrose pulled off the shocking upset?

Obviously, this would change two matches at the Show of Shows. He wouldn’t be facing Brock Lesnar anymore in the No Holds Barred match that was already set. It would make the Beast’s direction questionable heading into WrestleMania as he would need to find something else to do.

Lesnar moving into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match would be possible. Having him find his way into this bout would be believable and an easy thing to sell to the fans.

Triple H vs. Reigns would be changed as well. Ambrose would be the title holder and Reigns already won the right to face the champion at WrestleMania, so what would happen?

An elimination fatal 4-way, similar to WrestleMania 2000, could take place. The four participants would likely be Ambrose, Reigns, Lesnar and Triple H. It would make for a star-studded affair that would be big enough for the 100,000-seat AT&T Stadium.

The booking here would be tricky, though. How do you protect all four of these men that all need precise handling? That’s why Ambrose winning at Roadblock would send things into chaos that WWE Creative may not be able to handle. Someone would likely be wasted, with that man probably being Ambrose if the plan for Reigns to headline WrestleMania events over the next few years is still in place. It wouldn’t be what the fans want, but this has been the direction for a few years.

Reigns vs. Triple H will probably still headline WrestleMania, making Roadblock’s main event possibly irrelevant. Hopefully, something comes of it, otherwise, it just seems to be an excuse for the Cerebral Assassin to have a title defense before Arp. 3.
