facebooktwitterreddit

A look at the predictions for the WWE Divas Championship match between Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 32.

One of the multiple title matches at WrestleMania 32 will see Charlotte defend the WWE Divas Championship against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. This match was made about a month ago after a few No. 1 Contender matches.

These three women have a long track record going back to their years in NXT. They have faced off before, but never in a ring on the main roster.

Charlotte has been fantastic since turning heel, but her title reign has gone on long enough that we can expect a change. Sasha is one of the most popular divas in the company and she was always destined to be the face of the division at some point. There’s no better place to kick off her first title reign than WrestleMania.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

This is the Boss’s moment. These three have the capability to put on a great match if it doesn’t get overbooked, and I would expect Sasha to come out on top.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

This has to be a win for Sasha. The former NXT women’s champion has always been a thorn in the side of Charlotte, and can be her ultimate nemesis here by taking away her title. It’ll come after some kind of Ric Flair interference backfires and Sasha takes advantage. The whole thing will be the start of the real “Divas Revolution”, as we’ll have Bayley coming up from NXT and the Four Horsewomen will spend the rest of the year battling for the Divas Title.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte have signaled a change of culture for female wrestlers in the WWE. The winner of this match likely be crowned with the newly designed Woman’s championship belt on Monday Night Raw. The winner of the match will not be Charlotte. Charlotte has done her part. Charlotte, since winning the Divas championship, has been the strong heel champion that the Diva’s division needed. The strong heel champion that carried the division from cat fighting to actual wrestling. On Sunday, the division takes a step forward with a strong face champion. That champion will be Sasha Banks.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

If given the proper time, this will become the greatest women’s title match in WrestleMania history. Charlotte has been a great heel champion, although, it would be nice to see her chase for awhile (without Ric), wouldn’t mind seeing either Becky or Sasha get the win, but I’m going to go with the one who’s selling more merchandise.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

WrestleMania is all about ending old storylines and starting new ones. Perhaps now we can put to bed the myth about a “Divas revolution” since it never happened. Yes, we have more women from NXT getting called up to the main roster and now three of them are fighting for a championship at WrestleMania but that has more to do with injuries and retirements than it does with any kind of revolution. The consistent bumbling and weak storytelling these women are subjected to will keep them as afterthoughts in a business dominated by testosterone. Charlotte has been champion long enough to establish her heel presence and Sasha is on the rise with fans. Giving Banks the title will appease fans by giving her more opportunities and open up new feuds within the Divas division.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

Either of the challengers would make for a viable babyface champion coming out of ‘Mania. However, it’s Banks’ time to shine. With her cousin Snoop Dogg being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, WWE would love to capitalize on that and allow the two to celebrate together the next night on RAW.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks hasn’t lost a match via pinfall or submission since arriving to the main roster for a reason. WWE clearly sees a star in her and probably has been waiting for WrestleMania 32 to let her shine. She’ll defeat Charlotte and Becky Lynch in what will hopefully be a very good match if WWE chooses to give them ample time. Given that this is a four-plus hour broadcast, they better receive it.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

The Diva’s Revolution is in full force now as women’s matches are seen as important as men’s matches and not just an afterthought as they have been in the past. This should be a very excellent match that has had a decent build up with Charlotte playing a classic heel with help from the master of that type of character, her father Ric Flair. Very tough match to predict but I’ll go with Becky Lynch pulling off the victory.

Prediction: Becky Lynch

From the day Banks arrived on the WWE main roster it seemed like only a matter of time before she’d be Divas champion. However, since she seems to be the most over of the three, it won’t be that easy for her. Expect a swerve here with Lynch taking the strap. This will lead to a feud with Sasha and Lynch where Sasha can play the heel, something she excels at. And this would leave Charlotte to hopefully be the one to welcome Bayley to the WWE roster after Mania.

Prediction: Becky Lynch

Travis Hopson – Contributor

This should be a good one. SHOULD be. But I think they’re still going to hold something back as this feud is really just beginning. Charlotte has really come into her own as the heel champ, but Lynch is the only pure babyface here and the fans really are supporting her. However, Banks is the most over of them all. It would be a great WrestleMania moment for her to win here, however, I think it happens in a one-on-one match down the line.

Prediction: Charlotte
