Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson Continue WWE’s Tag Team Revival
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have arrived in WWE’s tag team division and will make it better than ever.
On Monday Night Raw, all the rumors came true as Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson debuted on Raw. They took out The Usos who had just defeated Heath Slater and Curtis Axel. It’s not technically the debut of Gallows, but after not being around for six years, it’s a bit of a re-debut.
So the former Bullet Club memebrs are now joining the WWE’s tag team division. A few weeks ago it was as stale as anything with the exception being New Day. They are arguably the company’s most over act and a bit of an excpetion to this. Teams like The Lucha Dragons, League of Nations, Dudley Boyz and others have all either lost some or all of their luster.

However, the past few weeks has seen the arrivals of two new tag teams in Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and The Vaudevillains. The money is probably going to be in the former duo, but both teams add fresh faces to the mix that is badly needed. This is going to be seen on Thursday Night SmackDown in the continuation of the WWE Tag Team Tournament.

The former NXT teams add the much-needed entertainment to the tag team division. While New Day is on another planet and The Dudley Boyz provided this here and there, no one else really did. Fans didn’t care much about The Lucha Dragons. The Social Outcasts went out of style fast. Then there is The Ascension, who is pretty much invisible.
While Gallows and Anderson will also be an entertaining part of the tag team division, they proved on Raw that they are going to be a force to be reckoned with from here on. They annihalated Jimmy and Jey, making them look weak and indefensible. This possibly-known-as-Bullet-Club team made their statement and will hold the spot in the division as the aggressors. It’s a fresh look from the norm and will probably result in cheers despite them being heels. WWE won’t love that, but given all the speculation around Anderson and Gallows that led to this moment, they will have to deal with it.

There also will be little doubt around this statement: Gallows and Anderson will be WWE Tag Team Champions very soon. It could happen as soon as WWE Extreme Rules since they aren’t part of the tournament that will wrap up at WWE Payback. They will go after New Day and probably be the ones to end their reign that will be over 250 days by May 22. From there, it’s anyone’s guess how long these veterans stars will reign. They may even have someone like an AJ Styles or Finn Balor join them along the way too, especially given all the teases.
Plus, Finn has been doing the Bullet Club gun hand gesture at live events and Gallows and Anderson did it on Raw. Could that be a sign of things to come?

So Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are here to stay in WWE. They should bring a unique look to an otherwise weak tag team division that turned a corner over the past eight days. We’ll see what’s to come in the succeeding weeks on programming.
