Bullet Club in WWE Has nWo Potential
A Bullet Club-like faction in WWE has the chance of being electric, similar to the nWo.
On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made their highly anticipated WWE debuts. They attacked The Usos after they won their WWE Tag Team Tournament match against Heath Slater and Curtis Axel.
This was expected for a while as WWE noted the former Bullet Club members were rumored to join the company in Jan. 2016.

Along with the rumors, there have been plenty of teasers from Gallows, Anderson and Finn Balor, who has been speculated to be joining the duo on the main roster.
However, the NXT Champion was obviously not there on Monday. That doesn’t mean he’s ruled out of eventually teaming with them, though.
The way how this is setting up is a bit similar to a popular faction that ruled pro wrestling in the 1990’s. It may be a bit much to think this so early, but as an article on Bleacher Report noted, there has to be an Outsiders similarity or even the nWo here, right?
The New World Order started off as just The Outsiders when Scott Hall and Kevin Nash came to WCW in 1996. They were the new kids on the block but also the bullies who were out to invade the Turner-led wrestling company. Hall and Nash tore through the roster from top to bottom and made themselves to not just look like the top guys, but the dominant top guys.
The process was also methodical in establishing Hall and Nash. They had a run for their first six weeks in WCW as the invading heels running rampant over everyone before the formation of the nWo.

Early stages of WWE’s possible Bullet Club stable with Anderson and Gallows showed similarities. While they have only been around for one show, the former NJPW stars came in out of nowhere and started attacking ultra-babyfaces in The Usos. They looked ferocious in their attack and seemed to be fresh faces injected into the used-to-be-stale tag team division. No one has the “I’m going to beat the living daylights out of you and not care about it while being the ‘cool’ guys” persona. It’s mostly full of gimmicks and The New Day, who stands above everyone.
Now Anderson and Gallows have the ability to legitimize themselves for however long as dominate forces. They need to destroy everyone in their paths from The Usos (again) to The Lucha Dragons, The Ascension and especially the Social Outcasts who are around pretty much for that role. Let them do this for weeks and even do more damage in the WWE Tag Team Tournament that the Bullet Club guys are not in. They would be running around all over the place similar to The Outsiders’ buildup.
The assumption is now going to be that Balor or even AJ Styles is going to be the ‘leader’ of the group. It’s all too similar to the nWo’s official formation in 1996 when Hulk Hogan showed up (was already in WCW) as the rumored third guy.
This was a process, though, and fans will have to be patient if Balor or Styles end up joining Anderson and Gallows. It won’t happen overnight like everyone thought it would on the night after WrestleMania 32.
So if Balor, Styles or even both join Anderson and Gallows to form a Bullet Club-like stable, there is even more potential for this group to dominate. They can hold the WWE Tag Team Championships, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and even the Intercontinental or United States Championships if there are four guys in this faction. This would make them better than The Shield and have the ability to be similar to nWo’s dominance as a collective unit.

Here’s an interesting factor with this, though. Hogan was seen as the top babyface of WCW for a few years after making the jump from WWE. He had never been a heel either, which made his teaming with Hall and Nash so shocking. So what about if Anderson and Gallows teamed with Roman Reigns at WWE Payback? They could pull the all-time stunner and align with the former Shield man to help him retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It would be a ridiculous swerve that would go against what everyone assumed would happen with Styles or Balor. More importantly, it would show that WWE has the guts to change something with their “top guy” instead of doing the usual and keeping him as a babyface forever.
An even crazier and more Hogan-like swerve would be to wait for John Cena to return and place Anderson and Gallows with him. It’s very unlikely, but if WWE really wants to shake up their product, a heel turn for Mr. HLR could work. Giving him what could be the most dominant tag team in the company by the time he comes back could be ground-breaking. This may be more nWo-esque than anything.
