Finn Balor Joining ‘The Club’ Not Guaranteed with AJ Styles Heel Turn
Many have assumed Finn Balor is joining friends Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows soon, but there may be a twist.
On the May 30 episode of Monday Night Raw, John Cena returned, but was greeted by AJ Styles, who attacked the “American Grit” host after being goaded by Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. This effectively reformed The Club.
For months, many assumed Finn Balor was going to debut on the main roster, join Anderson and Gallows, and eliminate Styles from The Club. This would begin a feud that spans throughout the summer, pitting former Bullet Club members against each other.

Now, there aren’t guarantees as much as questions.
Will The Club Expand?
Finn Balor could always just join The Club when he debuts, expanding this group to four. Balor, Anderson, Gallows, and Styles have never been together at the same time, so WWE trying for this is a possibility. It would be a fresh look at the popular Bullet Club stable that caused all four men to rise in popularity these past three years.

If The Club expands over the next 2-4 weeks, then John Cena will be facing four people, which might actually work. With three members of New Day battling two people in Anderson and Gallows, it leaves the Cena and New Day side at an advantage. The former IWGP Tag Team Champions could have Finn run in during their potential title match at Money in the Bank and help them win.
A Balor feud against The Club may be more juicy, though.
Balor-Only Club
For months, it has been thought that Finn Balor was going to form the Balor Club with Anderson and Gallows. His countless teases about this only fueled the fire, but that the thing—they were only teases.
There has never been a guarantee that Balor was going to form a stable—it was simply fan speculation because of the NJPW ties. Everyone wants a Bullet Club 2.0, and with Styles, Anderson, and Gallows showing solidarity, this may be the case, just without Finn.
Balor could easily show up at any point and challenge his former friends for running rampant in WWE. After all, the Demon has been a babyface for 18 months in NXT, so there’s a chance WWE looks to continue that on the main roster for marketing and merchandise reasons, since the guy sold a ton of Balor Club and Bulletproof t-shirts.
Is a Heel Turn Even Necessary Anymore?
It has been all about the Finn Balor heel turn for months once he got to the main roster. Again, due to the presence of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. While this could still happen, now just may not be the time.
Rewind to Monday, May 16.

Monday Night Raw featured a final build for an all-babyface feud of Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The prior main event program was Reigns vs. a heel, part-time, wrestler in Triple H. All the other top bad guys were injured, had been turned babyface, or just weren’t built up enough. This left Chris Jericho, The Miz, and Kevin Owens as the top heels, all of whom weren’t getting in on the main event picture (Money in the Bnak could change things).
Weeks past that, we now have Seth Rollins back as the top heel and AJ Styles as a more-than-qualified No. 2 guy. Bray Wyatt may even return in that role as well.
So is there really a need for a heel Balor anymore?
The top spots will be taken for a while with Rollins having recently returned and Styles less than a week off turning heel. The Architect could turn babyface at some point if WWE wants to revisit the budding Triple H feud, but for now, it’s not happening. It actually leaves a spot open for Balor to take a top babyface spot and work his way over with the fans. Those who haven’t seen him before will go wild over the Demon entrance, plus the merchandise, so those could be factors.
