How Bray Wyatt Should Return for WWE Money in the Bank 2016
By Dean Siemon
Bray Wyatt is rumored to be returning to WWE television soon, and there happens to be a seventh spot open for the WWE Money in the Bank ladder match.
When the qualifying matches were being held for the WWE Money in the Bank ladder match a few weeks ago, there were seven spots announced. As of this moment, we have filled six of those spots with Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Chris Jericho, Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio and Dean Ambrose.
So what happened to the seventh spot? Well, there might have been some speculation through social media involving Bray Wyatt’s Twitter account.

The fact that Wyatt is shown with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship definitely led to some discussion that maybe Bray Wyatt will be added to the ladder match. It’s a surprise there hasn’t been any mention of that seventh spot that went unfilled during the recent build up to Money in the Bank.
Wyatt has not been seen since he suffered a calf injury during one of the WWE European Tour’s shows in Milan, Italy. So it has been a few months since he’s been on television, which would be weird if the company was planning on having him return at the Money in the Bank ladder match.
It would be better if his return was already established before the match and he appeared this Monday to claim the seventh spot in the match. If the goal is to make Wyatt look credible in this match, the WWE would have to make it an impactful return on live television that would involve the other six superstars competing in the ladder match.
So allow me to put on my creative writer hat to come up with how the WWE can accomplish all of the above. It is unfortunate that the company already had all six superstars standing (or sitting) on ladders on the last Raw, so we can’t necessarily do that for a second week in a row – right?
Have all six come to blows near the end of the show where it is the result of tension building between all six throughout the night. It would make sense having the ladder match in the final segment considering how big of an opportunity holding Money in the Bank truly is. Everyone is in the ring and brawls are ensuing with Owens and Zayn in one corner, Jericho and Ambrose in a second corner and Cesaro and Del Rio in a third.

The fourth corner is left open – probably the one to the left and facing the television cameras – when the lights go out and we have the creepy transition that signals the Wyatt Family. When the lights come back on, Bray Wyatt is guarded by Erick Rowan, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman. His three giants then attack the six superstars as Wyatt laughs in the corner, eventually doing his creepy upside-down spider walk to one of the fallen superstars before delivering Sister Abigail.
The final moments would show one of the family members getting a ladder and setting it up for Wyatt to climb up and grab the Money in the Bank briefcase. This would signal his intentions and provide more intrigue for the ladder match on June 19.

It will be interesting if the WWE will do anything similar to this, but there’s a reason they had originally announced seven spots and seemingly forgotten to mention it during the past few weeks. One would hope the WWE is hoping to catch fans off guard and even if this column is predicting those plans, a good number of fans will still remain excited.
