5. NXT Is Losing Its Novelty
One of the things that helped elevate NXT was that it felt like a novel show when Triple H first launched it. The smaller venue, the more vocal crowd, the greater degree of fan interaction, these factors and more helped make NXT something that fans needed to see. Moreover, these made almost every individual episode of NXT feel important.

Recently, however, NXT has shifted to a more ‘big show’ focus (and I don’t mean the wrestler). Just like the main roster programs, regular NXT shows feel like they’re lacking in that special element that made the show so much fun to watch not too long ago.
This is especially important for cruiserweight wrestling. Before WWE re-launched the cruiserweight division, NXT was the show for the lighter aerial experts. Now, the cruiserweight division has its own regular spot on RAW as well as its own show on Tuesday nights. This took away a key feature from NXT, especially since you were more likely to see cruiserweight wrestling on that show for the longest time.
