What were the three matches that creative absolutely nailed at WrestleMania 33?
WWE would be looking to march forward with all the momentum they gained after WrestleMania 33. Though it wouldn’t be termed as the greatest WrestleMania of all time, it still was a great show. The stage and set, in particular, were exceptional. Creative use of the floor and ring based special effects during the entrances of Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins were a thing of beauty. Who could forget the maggot infested ring?

However, when it comes to matches and results, creative didn’t always hit all the right notes, though. Undertaker’s loss would be debated for many years to come. Both the Women’s title matches would go on to receive an ample amount of scrutiny. Compared to last year, the Women’s division matches felt like a step backward. John Cena’s placement on the card would have raised a few eyebrows for sure. This would be regardless of the proposal angle. There was no need for such a match to accomplish this angle.
In addition, one would also have to question the treatment of the Miz by creative after perhaps having the best year of his career. The Hollywood A-lister has had one hell of a run between WrestleMania 32 and 33. Be that as it may, this was still a show worth all the hype.
Some of the matches on the card exceeded all expectations. These bouts delivered in terms of in-ring action as well as told a great story within the ring. These matches made sure the right person went over when all was said done and made sure to give them some momentum to build towards the future.
