1. Capitol Punishment

The worst WWE PPV name ever is the 2011 PPV Capitol Punishment. Taking place in…you guessed it, our nations’ capitol Washington D.C. So there were several things wrong with this PPV. First of all how can you glorify punishment by death.

Secondly WWE thought it was a good idea to have fake President Obama videos with superstars to promote the show. Then they further thought it was a good idea to throw in a President Obama impersonator at the show. Combine it altogether and you have the disaster that was this PPV.

This match card minus CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio and R. Truth vs John Cena for the WWE Championship (yes this was a pretty great match) was the worst.

The backstage segments with the fake POTUS were awful, opening match was awful, Kofi Kingston dropped the United States Championship to Dolph Ziggler in a clear botched finish. Del Rio vs Big Show was just bad.

Big Show lost the match because he couldn’t continue after a “knee injury.” Wade Barrett lost the Intercontinental Championship to Ezekiel Jackson…really. Orton vs Christian was uninspiring, and Swagger vs Evan Bourne was a pointless addition to the card.

This was a ridiculous PPV, with poor word play on Capitol Punishment. I mean who kept their job after this PR blunder. This show owns the rights to having the worst PPV names ever.
