Winners: The SmackDown Live Tag Team Division
Lots of things happening in the tag team division on Tuesday nights. First off, The Usos won a very hard fought, very awesome match at Hell in a Cell to become SmackDown Tag Team Champions again. Jimmy and Jey were a bit banged up on Tuesday, but they still had enough energy and health to come out and address the division.

The New Day may have lost the tag titles at HIAC, but they’re still a big part of the division. A mutual show of respect between the former and current champs was a nice touch. But the biggest developments in the tag division actually happened on SmackDown Live itself, rather than at HIAC.
The division got the show-opening segment, which shows how much faith the bookers and producers have in that part of the show. The somehow not yet split up Hype Bros joined the party, as did Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, The Fashion Police, and The Ascension. Those teams battled in a pretty good fatal four way to determine new number one contenders. Gable and Benjamin pulled off the victory, so thinking about a match between them and The Usos is intoxicating.
And later in the show, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan finally both returned to television and reunited. (Lot of reunions in the air, huh?) Sure, their new team name is kind of dumb – THE BLUDGEON BROTHERS GRRRRRRR – but it doesn’t matter. They’re a great team, and joining a stacked division is great for everyone involved.
