WWE WrestleMania 34: Potential Spoilers for HUGE Planned Angle

Are things about to shake up next week? There’s rumblings of a major shock being planned for WWE WrestleMania 34.

Per still unconfirmed reports, it seems like there’s big things on the horizon at WWE WrestleMania 34. Keep in mind, nothing is set in stone yet, plans change, all the usual caveats. But based on what I’ve heard, it’s worth discussing.

Ready for this major WrestleMania news? I’ll give you one more chance to back out and click over to another story. After this, there will be potential major spoilers ahead…

I don’t really know why this would be a potential plan, but it seems Daniel Bryan may be turning heel at WrestleMania. Currently, Bryan is set to team up with Shane McMahon to face Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The latter duo are competing to get their jobs back, after being fired in storyline for their actions in recent weeks.

Lately, Bryan has seemingly been more on Shane’s side than he was as recently as last winter. Bryan is the one who fired KO and Zayn after their brutal assault on Shane – a far cry from how the SmackDown General Manager was the one constantly giving the two opportunities that Shane didn’t think they deserved.

Frankly, that’s why this possible major angle makes sense. Perhaps Bryan has been trying to lull Shane into a false sense of security. Even with two years of inactivity, who better to have as a tag team partner than a former world champion? If Shane truly wants to be rid of Owens and Zayn for good, teaming with Bryan seems like a no-brainer.

One way this is being discussed is to have Bryan just lay down in the middle of the ring, without actually doing much of anything. It’s low-key brilliant in its simplicity, when you think about it. Fans have clamored for Bryan to be cleared for competition almost since the second his retirement became official. Imagine Shane taking a beating, finally making the hot tag to Bryan – and he lays down without so much as a YES Kick.

Obviously, that would make the live WrestleMania crowd furious. That’s why this potential shakeup is still being discussed internally. The logic behind the turn would be a way to both keep KO and Zayn on television, while prolonging the power struggle between Shane and Bryan. Shane’s recent hospitalization has also forced WWE to come up with a “plan B” in case he’s not physically as ready as hoped.

Look, it’s a bold move, and the odds of the fans actually booing Bryan and viewing him as a heel are low. But for a fan base that always complains that WWE sticks to the script and is too stuck in their ways to do something different, this is it. Personally, until I heard this, I never in a million years would have dreamed this as a possibility.
