1. Braun Strowman holds on to the MITB contract.
SummerSlam is over and there was no cash-in and no change of hands as far as the Money in the Bank contract went. Braun Strowman put the coveted briefcase on the line against Kevin Owens. If Owens won by any means, including disqualification and count out, he would then be the one to hold the Money in the Bank contract.

Moreover, this was a match that Owens demanded for and was granted to him by Stephanie McMahon herself. Though the buildup towards the match was lackluster and had fans confused about who the face and the heel was, the stipulation made up for some exciting possibilities. In fact, this prompted me to tout Owens as one of the real dark horses to watch out for come SummerSlam.
But nothing came to fruition. Owens was literally squashed in a match, reminiscent of Strowman’s initial days following the brand split. The only piece of offence the Prizefighter got was a kick to Strowman. Nothing apart from it. What does this make Owens look like? One of the best heels and talkers on the main roster just turned into a caricature of himself; one who knowingly designed his own doom at the hands of the Monster Among Men.
