5. Bea Priestley

The 23 year old Priestley’s (2-3 record in AEW) 2019 in AEW has so far mostly been comprised of her heated rivalry with Dr. Britt Baker.

The program between Baker and Priestley began at last Summer’s Fight for the Fallen Pay-Per-View after Priestley legitimately (and of course, unintentionally) concussed everyone’s favorite dentist during a tag-team match.

What we have witnessed from Priestley’s five in-ring appearances for AEW is the fierce intensity that she brings to the ring influenced by her very successful run in Japan which saw her win the World of Stardom Championship this year.

This is the same title held by the likes of Io Shirai, Kairi Sane, and Toni Storm. All three of the aforementioned WWE products have had a tremendous 2019 on the North American circuit.  Nothing prevents Priestley from doing the same.

Her in-ring work balances perfectly with her persona and her camera/microphone work. For reference, check out her promo before last month’s ‘Full Gear’ directed at Britt Baker.

“You are a [expletive] dentist.”

Need I say more? Bea is clearly comfortable working heel and even more comfortable on the microphone. Considering the limited amount of screen time she’s received, due in part to her back and forth trips to Japan in order to fulfill her Stardom duties, Priestley has everything it takes to challenge for Riho’s title in 2020.
