Those were the days! The days where a main event match was built up for months; days where fans were excited about PPVs because they really were spread apart; days where storylines felt so real!

I remember being a little girl, watching that infamous Piper’s Pit where Andre turned on Hulk Hogan, ripping off his t-shirt and crucifix all in one shot. From then on, I was hooked.

But, as amazing as the Hulkster was … could he really defeat a giant? It turned out that eating your vitamins, training hard, and saying your prayers would work out in the end, because in front of an over 93,000 historic Silverdome crowd, Hogan did just that and truly solidified his WWE legacy by not only defeating Andre, but also lifting him up for a body slam that left the audience gasping as he did it.
