To answer the question in the shortest and sweetest way possible, I’ll start off this piece by saying all three of them. Adam Cole, Ruby Soho, and Bryan Danielson together, probably ushered in one of the greatest moments collectively at a professional wrestling event, and really, we’re excited to see where all of these three go next.

It’s a huge time in professional wrestling and a huge time for AEW. Kenny Omega ranked at Number 1 for the illustrious PWI 500, which we reported on here at Daily DDT, and Mick Foley made some glaring statements regarding the fall of WWE Creative and the promising future of AEW, which we also covered.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio and f4wonline stated on an episode of the aforementioned broadcast (and I’m paraphrasing here) that the event was huge in scope and these three returns (4 with the emergence of Minoru Suzuki of NJPW) had the most to do with that success.

As I write this, Dynamite is set to start and that epic match that was made between NJPW legend, Suzuki, and none other than Jon Moxley is set to go down, as are developmental storylines and angles for the three stars that premiered on All Out this past Sunday, and really, I can’t wait to see where this goes and even beyond the episode that will air tonight.

So…as I make my way through this piece, drink my fourth cup of coffee of the day and try to make it so I can watch the action unfold like the rest of you, dear readers, I’ll set to proving my points as quickly as possible; specifically as to exactly why we can be excited for absolutely all three of the aforementioned WWE ex-pats joining in with AEW…and for just where their respective angles with the company will lead them.

Ruby Soho

Talk about underutilized talent over at WWE. She was cut off of that roster, and in the end there, she was underutilized and her fullest potential wasn’t at all reached. How could it be in an environment that’s pushing the wrong superstars and for all the wrong reasons.

To switch to the men for two seconds, just look at how hard they tried to push the idea of Omos potentially facing Lashley for the title on us on Raw this week. Did you hear the announcers? He’s so green (inexperienced) I keep expecting a lily to sprout from his head. He is nowhere near physically ready in that ring, or on the microphone, and if they have him beat the incredible Lashley anytime soon, I think I’m going to scream!

They are making the same mistakes they made in the nineties just before WCW started to win against them in the Monday Night Wars; they are relying on the wrong kind of talent and disposing of really talented members of the roster…like Ruby herself.

But in AEW she already has a title shot and I expect great things from her.

Adam Cole is All Elite Bay Bay!

Adam Cole helped make NXT what it is today and what it has been. He is undoubtedly a legend, and to see him amongst men he came up within the business, and to see just how he can perform on that platform, is something very special to be granted as a wrestling fan and as a wrestling journalist.

They can have him in any angle right now and I’d be happy, but as he’s stated, he’d like to kick Jungle Boy in the face again and I’d like to see him try to do that once more; perhaps even for a title down the line.

Bryan Danielson

This one here makes me the most excited, so yeah, I’ve changed my original thought, but as I wrote this piece an idea came to me (hey…it’s been known to happen).

I’ve written about this before just recently, but I will reiterate it here: Bryan does not represent a disgruntled employee, and neither does Cole, but Bryan was on the man roster over at WWE and even though he liked his former job and employer, he still decided to come over and if that doesn’t say how inviting AEW is right now, I don’t know what will.

Next. Will Adam Page still be the one to dethrone Kenny Omega?. dark

So yes…perhaps, in the end, I am most excited to see where they go with Bryan and just where he himself dares to go.
