Turning Bianca Belair Heel Could Be an Interesting Wrinkle for the EST in 2025

Bianca Belair is a historic star with an intensely sympathetic story and a kind personality. Turning Bianca Belair heel could be interesting if it wasn't so difficult to envision. The worst reaction in professional wrestling is no reaction, and seeing the crowds fade on her and Jade Cargill is already tough to watch. Breaking bad could be an interesting wrinkle for the EST.

It seems almost unfathomably hard to root against Bianca Belair. She is a historical star with an intensely sympathetic story and a kind personality. Turning Bianca Belair heel could be interesting if it wasn't so difficult to envision. Perhaps because of that persona, though, she has remained a face, and while nobody is booing the "EST", they aren't cheering much either. The worst reaction in professional wrestling is no reaction, and seeing the crowds fading on her and Jade Cargill is already tough to watch. This is not for lack of trying either; they appear on television and premium events regularly. Jade was recently attacked backstage in an angle that sparked fan interest, namely, who did it. The list isn't very long, and if it was Bianca breaking bad, that might be for the best.

Turning Bianca Belair heel call's back to her NXT run

Bianca was initially a heel, or rather something similar to it. She had a tougher edge when she started, often using her hair as a whip. The Mae Young classic doesn't really count; it always happened outside the WWE Universe, like the mixed-match challenge. Once Bianca made her debut, she used her EST claims to be brash and bold. It was a rare sight to see an original character that could be on either side of the roster. She would routinely remind the NXT faithful that regardless of the pecking order, she was the "great-est, strong-est, smart-est, bad-est and pretty-est" person on the roster. Her matches played into her power and athleticism. This confident Belair never really went away; they just centered the story around her real life, real accomplishments, and actual ability. Sometimes, perspective changes everything.

If Bianca attacked Jade, she would destroy a core tenet of hers. The attack would presumably be to eliminate competition, which is not what a true-blue honorable athlete does to win. Taking a cheap shot at a partner would go even further than NXT Belair. Even if she didn't attack her, siding with the assailant will absolutely crush invested viewers and make sure she gets some heat. Heat is exactly what WWE needs on their women's roster at the moment.

Smackdown is missing a marquee heel in the women's divisionΒ Β

Smackdown's top heels are Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton. It is pretty likely that their partnership won't last, and one will turn face after being turned against. The other prominent heel is Chelsea Green, who is so gifted that she is essentially already a face. Raw is in a similar position. Whenever WWE gets a face back on top of their women's division, they will be sorely disappointed in their feud option. Turning Bianca could solve that issue for them.

Bianca has the pedigree and profile to rival WWE's horsewomen. That is extra relevant, with one of them working elsewhere. At the moment, all of them are faces, so you can't even rely on one of them to be available for a "boss battle" against a conquering face. Bianca's resume and power allow her to be credible as a threat in the ring and on the match card. Very few women have main evented at WrestleMania. She is one of five, two of which have left the company, and the other two are on a sabbatical for now. In desperate need of world-beater heel threats, Bianca makes a ton of sense.

Montez Ford could turn heel alongside her

While the heel turn has a blueprint and could really help WWE out, turning Bianca Belair's heel could also help another superstar. Well, there are two if you count her presumed first rival in, Jade Cargill. Montez Ford and the Street Profits have been floundering for a long time, after being a staple of the tag team scene. Montez is usually seen as the potential breakout star between himself and his pal Angelo Dawkins. That often gets conflated with a feel-good babyface rise to the world title. His future may lie in a modern Edge and Lita dynamic, with Bianca taking a leading role.

The Street Profits under Bobby Lashley were clearly meant to be heels, but everyone loves Lashley. This fact made it impossible to turn the duo heel. When he left and the time was right, WWE never really tried it out. They became even more lost and faded away from thought until the tweets started firing off. If Bianca is going to have a long heel run, then having somebody to run interference while also ascending through the ranks, like Lita did with Edge, would be helpful. Montez going heel would be a shocker as well. If they turned together as real-life husband and wife, it could multiply the shock value.

Is it really time to consider turning Bianca Belair heel

Only one thing hasn't been considered when it comes to turning Bianca Belair heel. The move has some precedent, a straightforward story, and will help WWE and even her husband. Does it help Bianca, though? The short answer is yes. With so few top heels in the company, and even fewer of them being seen as quality champions, she would instantly become the most important woman in the division, aside from Rhea Ripley. The longer answer, though, is it depends. If the turn leads to a loss in two months at WrestleMania before challenging for the Women's US title, then the turn only destroys a beloved character forever. Even going face again won't erase the sting of switching, especially since many fans don't watch NXT. Bianca, as a heel, will only be an interesting development if they allow her to develop it.
