WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar to Stay After WrestleMania? Huge Possible Spoilers for Show

Warning: While these are rumors, they could possible be huge WrestleMania spoilers involving Brock Lesnar.

With Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract expected to expire just 13 days from now, news and rumors on his status are expected. However, this update may be a huge one.

According to Reddit user MetsFan4Ever, a former WWE backstage worker that has broken news stories in the past, there is a sense that Brock Lesnar is re-signing with WWE very soon.

"After talking to a few people today at the SmackDown tapings word going around is that Brock Lesnar is very close to agreeing on a new contract with the WWE. With the lack of popularity that Roman Reigns has received as of late, Triple H is pushing Vince on the idea of keeping the WWE Championship on Brock."

This would obviously be a huge change in direction. Reigns has indeed not been receiving great reactions from crowds. While the boos have somewhat died down, he is not receiving loud pops.

Having Lesnar retain would be interesting. It could set up a Rollins cash-in as well, since The Beast takes time off in between big events. However, MetsFan4Ever would add some more info that would go against this:

"If Brock retains the title it would in all likelihood mean a continued “special attraction schedule” for him. Triple H as of late has been big on the idea that the I.C. Title and the U.S. Title should mean something again. The plan, if Brock retains is to put the U.S. Title on John Cena and the I.C. Title on Daniel Bryan. The theory would be that two legit Superstars would bring legitimacy to both titles. Also, while Brock is gone both men can main event Raw, Smackdown, PPVs and house shows with those titles on top of the card…A lot can change between now and WrestleMania. But this is just one of the many ideas that are being discussed. I have not been told of any other ideas, but if I hear more, I will be sure to pass the information along to this great community."

This would be a bold move by WWE to put this in motion. Cena and Bryan would certainly bring legitimacy to the belt, but what is the plan for Lesnar’s title run then? It seems like this is a long-term move that could go into SummerSlam (speculation) if this is the idea.
