Final Thoughts

This episode of SmackDown is going to not do well in the ratings because of the debut of Thursday Night Football from the NFL. The show did a good job at having continuing action and making the most of its time with one large exception.

As much as I admittedly loved the Sting-Rollins segment from RAW this past week, that was a time block that would’ve been given to another live match. Whether it was a tag match with the number one contender Prime Time Players or a match with Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens or Neville, it would be a better use of time than just showing what happened on RAW.

This problem continues every week on SmackDown as they show RAW recaps to fill time instead of adding in low-card matches. I’d rather see a Jack Swagger-Fandango match instead of another recap. The show would be significantly better if they just cut down or removed the recaps.

What did you think of SmackDown this week? Excited for Night of Champions, or will it take more to sell you on the show? Let us know in the comments below, and continue the conversation with me on twitter at @E_Gomes.
