Who Should Undertaker Face at WWE WrestleMania 32?

With The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar set for their final clash at Hell in a Cell, who should The Phenom now face at WrestleMania?

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar are now scheduled to face one another inside the Hell in a Cell, next month in Los Angels. With both competitors winning one match each during this feud (Lesnar won at WrestleMania XXX, Undertaker won at SummerSlam) this seems to now be the third and final match between these two.
The rumors going around throughout the web was the feeling was that Undertaker and Lesnar would have their third and final match at WrestleMania 32 in Texas. However, with the match now happening in October (most likely due because of the low ratings over the last few months) means that these two will be facing different opponents at WrestleMania.

When the announcement was announced during the early stages of Night of Champions the internet ran rapid with the feeling that Undertaker would now be facing Sting at WrestleMania. However, Sting suffered a severe neck injury against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions that might cause an end to the former’s Hall of Fame career. This likely means that Sting vs. Undertaker also won’t happen at WrestleMania.
So with Lesnar and Sting out of the picture, who should face Undertaker at WrestleMania? With this possibly being The Undertaker’s final WrestleMania, there is one name I feel could help Undertaker make his last match legendary. That one man is John Cena.

The Undertaker vs. Cena would be a huge match for this year’s WrestleMania and it would be the prefect match to finish the former’s career. The two in a match would represent two eras of wrestling, the Attitude Era (Undertaker) and the Reality Era (Cena).
The match is also one we really have not seen. The last time Undertaker and Cena met on PPV was at Vengeance 2003. During this time, the two were both wrestling on the SmackDown brand and their characters were quite different from they are now. Cena was an up and comer with a rap star gimmick, while Undertaker was wearing bandannas and driving motorcycles to the ring.
Since that match, the two have had very little if any contact with each other. This was highly influenced by Cena wrestling on Raw from 2005 to the end of the brand extension, and Undertaker wrestling on SmackDown during that period. With the two never being on the same brandm they never had a match with each other. Even since the brand extension has ended, they still never had a match with one another.
I can’t think of more of a perfect time for these two future Hall of Famers to clash than in front of 100,000 people at AT&T Stadium in Texas. The match is also a smart choice because of Cena being a ring general. At Undertaker’s age (50), there’s not too many people the company would trust for him to wrestle, who would both give him a good match and keep him safe in the ring. Cena is one the few people WWE would trust.
Cena has built a reputation on making tough matches be watchable (The Great Khali for example). I’m certainly not comparing Undertaker to Great Khali, but as we saw at WrestleMania XXX, if Undertaker gets hurt, it can really effect the match. Brock didn’t seem to have a clue how to save and carry the match after Undertaker got his concussion. Because of this, the match played out terribly on TV. With Cena’s experience, if something like that was to happen to Undertaker again (here’s hoping it doesn’t), Cena would be able to carry them through the storm.
The last thing this match gives us is unpredictability on who would win this match. With Undertaker’s undefeated streak ending, its now always a possibility that he could lose a match at WrestleMania. The match could be billed as the young lion (Cena) taking on the old lion (Undertaker) and be viewed as a changing of the guard match. Could The Undertaker keep his spot on the top or could Cena further solidify his legacy by taking defeating the Phenom on the grandest stage of them all?
For the match to work though Undertaker can’t go in as a heel. This should be Icon vs. Icon. Undertaker is not going to get booed in his home state of Texas in possibly his final match, it isn’t going to happen. So while Undertaker has been heelish in his feud with Lesanr, come WrestleMania, he has to be face if he’s going against Cena.
If this match happens, it would go down as one of the biggest matches of all time, The Phenom vs. The Franchise.
