John Cena is set to take time off after the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. With this news of Cena taking time off, a few questions arose; what is the future of the United States Championship, and why is John Cena taking time off?
Since winning the United States title at WrestleMania, Cena has brought prestige to that title, from the John Cena US Open Challenge, giving lesser known superstars get their shot to be on Monday Night Raw, to having some great feuds with upcoming Kevin Owens and WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins.

But the main question is, why is John Cena taking time off?
Up until today, all we have known is that Cena is taking time off for personal reasons. Many people have speculated that the reasons were that he was either injured or that he was getting engaged to his girlfriend, current WWE Diva Nikki Bella.
At this point, we know that Cena is not hurt and he is not getting to Nikki Bella, nor is she taking time off, so why is Cena taking time off from the WWE?
According to Scott Keith of Scott’s Blog of Doom says that Cena is taking six to eight weeks off to film a reality fitness show for Fox after the Hell in a Cell PPV.
"A friend in the fitness industry is working on a fitness-themed reality show for FOX. The show is set to air in the spring. He and a few others were told this week that the filming window is set for Oct. 26 to the first or second week of January, and that it will take 6-8 weeks to do everything. They also found out that the host of the show is going to be John Cena. I’m guessing this explains his rumored hiatus after HIAC."
Cena would not be the first superstar to miss time while filming. Earlier this year, Dolph Ziggler and Kane missed time to film the WWE production “6:42.”
