With Fastlane tonight the main event for WrestleMania will be determined when Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns battle in a triple threat match for the number one contender spot for WrestleMania. As I wrote about earlier, I believe Dean Ambrose should win on Sunday.
While the main event for WrestleMania seems to be Triple H vs. Reigns, I don’t think that’s the best option. Since his terrible booking at the Royal Rumble, Reigns has once again gained nothing but boos from the fans. With the WrestleMania crowd being usually a smart crowd, the last thing I believe WWE wants is Reigns being booed in front of 100,000 fans in Dallas. With Triple H being a legend and an all time great he would come off as the hero instead of Roman Reigns.

Ambrose, however, has been on a hot streak as of late. He made it to the final two in the Royal Rumble with Triple H. He came up just short against the King of Kings but fans respected and applauded his 30-minute run in the Rumble after competing earlier in the night in a brutal Last Man Standing match against Kevin Owens.
With fans still wanting to see Ambrose continue his path towards the WWE Championship being close so many times. On Sunday, it makes more sense for Ambrose to win the main event at Fastlane, moving on to the main event at WrestleMania.

However, I don’t think the main event will end up or should be Ambrose vs. Triple H. Instead the main event of WrestleMania should be a triple threat match involving Triple H, Ambrose and Reigns. This main event would be the best possible main event WWE could give us.
At Fastlane, Ambrose should win the main event while Reigns should finish off Brock Lesnar (after getting some assistance from a surprise attack from The Wyatt Family setting up Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania). Before Roman can get the pinfall, Ambrose sneaks in and scores the pinfall.
After the match Reigns turns on Ambrose, thus turning him heel and starting up a feud between the former best friends heading into WrestleMania. The next night on Raw, Reigns comes out and claims that going forward he his only fighting for himself. Reigns then reveals that he never received his rematch after losing the championship at the Royal Rumble and will now invoke his clause for WrestleMania.
Doing this turns the match into a triple threat match at WrestleMania. Going into WrestleMania, you set up a multitude of issues between all three competitors. Each man despises one another and all three want to prove they are the best in the world.

Determining the result WWE could go down two different paths. They could give it to Reigns and have him hold the title as a heel. He could continue a feud with former friend Ambrose. He could then later feud with the likes of John Cena and a returning Seth Rollins during the summer.
WWE could also have Ambrose win the match at WrestleMania. He could then go to feud with Reigns, The Authority, The Wyatt Family and Owens. Either superstar winning the triple threat could really be a great option.

Both Reigns and Ambrose’s work over the last year has shown that these two should both be in the main event of WrestleMania this year. This triple threat would be the best option for WWE with the lack of star power that this WrestleMania is looking to have.
Getting Triple H, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania this year would help create one of the most exciting and unpredictable main events we have seen in a while. Two former brothers and the King of Kings in the ring all at the same time would create a WrestleMania main event for the ages.
