WWE WrestleMania 32: Dean Ambrose Must Beat Brock Lesnar
By Dean Siemon
With fans excited about Dean Ambrose facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, this would be the best opportunity to book an upset.
In what might be one of the more intriguing matches booked for WrestleMania 33, Dean Ambrose challenged Brock Lesnar to a No Holds Barred Street Fight. This could be billed as the unstoppable force in the Beast Incarnate facing the unbreakable force in the Lunatic Fringe.
If the powers that be at WWE were smart in their booking decisions, this will be a match that Ambrose wins with a pinfall victory. How clean that victory is a matter of non-importance since the Ambrose character doesn’t have to do things either as a face or heel – he’s unstable and can be neutral instead of a face.

But why should Ambrose defeat Lesnar. There’s a number of reasons with the first being that Lesnar doesn’t need the victory at all. He’s a big enough star in the company that pinning Ambrose doesn’t give him a boost in the company. This is a match that should be designed as a way of elevating the Lunatic Fringe to the next tier of the WWE talent card by giving him a signature WrestleMania victory.
The stipulation of no disqualification and no count out also provides a realistic chance for Ambrose to defeat Lesnar. If it was a regularly booked match, it would be hard to imagine Ambrose being able to get a victory at all over the former NCAA, WWE and UFC Champion. Allowing Ambrose to enter that “hardcore” state of mind will give him the ability to be as ruthless and aggressive as he wants to be.
Another reason why Ambrose should win is because the other two big main-event level matches are likely going to have predictable endings. It’s probably 99.9 percent confirmed that Triple H is going to drop the title to Roman Reigns and it’s very tough to believe Shane McMahon can beat the Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell.

We don’t know what the rest of the WrestleMania 33 card is going to look like, but the Ambrose vs Lesnar match might be the most likely to have a surprise finish via upset victory. For the fans to really get their money’s worth whether they bought a ticket or subscribed to the WWE Network, there have to be a few surprise endings that catch the fan off guard.
This might also be a good chance to evolve the Dean Ambrose character to allow him to morph more into a psychotic and delusion wrestler, a state that he has to put himself into in an attempt to have a better chance of beating Lesnar. After WrestleMania, Ambrose might have difficulty getting out of this mindset and it could continue for several months where it could slowly turn into a completed heel turn and possibly a Reigns vs. Ambrose match this summer.
