Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler

Although Shayna Baszler is still firmly placed within the confides of NXT and despite failing to win the Royal Rumble (which would have been the easiest way to justify The Ace of Spade’s jump from one brand to another), current rumors suggest that this match is still in WWE’s plans.

Which is not too hard to believe, since Baszler was the runner up of the Royal Rumble and, as history has shown in the past more often than not, the runner up often challenges for the opposite World Title while the winner chooses another. With Charlotte Flair already placing NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley in her sights, another tussle between Baszler and Lynch seems inevitable.

When the Raw Women’s Champion and the former NXT Women’s Champion first came face to face last fall in the build to Survivor Series, we all agreed from the jump that the pair’s on air chemistry was WrestleMania worthy.

It seems only fitting for The Man and The Ace to rekindle that magic for the actual Mania stage itself, especially since Lynch has already knocked down just about every worthy challenger out of her way. Baszler is the next option that serves as the biggest threat to Lynch’s reign since Asuka or even Sasha Banks.
